History of Jadavpur Union

Jadavpur Union Parishad started its journey from July 1, 1961. Jadavpur union is one of the most unions of Dhamrai upazila. In 1961 Cheyamman was called a village president. Md. Kalimuddin Sarker was elected as the first village president. Then gradually Kalimuddin served as president. In 1965, Abdul Jalil was nominated as the first union council chairman during the Pakistan period and he was the Chairman of the Union during the War of Liberation. He has been the chairman of Jadavpur Union Parishad for 23 long years. At present, Jadavpur Union Parishad has 29 small villages.
